Live Storytelling Series

Pitch Your Story

To pitch your story, submit a written or recorded summary of the story you wish to tell. Written summary should be approximately 250 words, recorded should be approximately 2 minutes. (Submission of full written stories also accepted.)

A story for the stage should have (1) a beginning, middle, and end, (2) something happening (doing something, not just thinking about/analyzing something), and (3) stakes, that is, something you stand to gain or lose.

Include the following details in your pitches:

  • For what theme are you pitching this story?

Once your pitch is accepted, you will be required to submit a story in full before being added to the lineup. (You may also submit a full story as your pitch.) This process will include feedback from the creative director on how to improve your story for the stage. Storytelling is a natural part of being human, but there are approaches and strategies in the performance aspect of live storytelling.

All pitches will receive a response.
